Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Pocket Scavenger handles information when you play, use optional online features, watch a rewarded ad, make an App Store purchase, or contact support.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

The game stores progress, settings, inventory, shelter state, unlocked content, story progress, and other gameplay information on your device. It may also store randomly generated installation and recovery identifiers needed to protect saves and deliver earned rewards.

You can play core game content without giving us your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or social-media account.

2. Anonymous Online Account and Cloud Features

When an online feature is used, Pocket Scavenger may create an anonymous Supabase account. This account does not require an email address or password. We may process an internal account ID, a public player ID, platform, app version and build, connection timestamps, and a randomly generated device or installation ID.

If cloud save or recovery features are used, gameplay progress, save revisions, checksums, recovery-code hashes, and related account records may be stored on our Supabase-hosted backend. If you choose Game Center save protection, a one-way hash of the Game Center player identifier and verification records may also be stored. Pocket Scavenger does not store your Apple Account password.

3. Rewarded Advertising

Pocket Scavenger offers optional rewarded ads through Google Mobile Ads and uses Google User Messaging Platform for privacy choices. According to Google, its advertising SDK may process an IP address (which can be used to estimate general location), device or app identifiers, advertising data, ad views and interactions, crash logs, performance data, and other diagnostics. Google determines the exact processing based on your region, consent choices, device settings, and the ad-serving mode.

Where required, the game asks for an advertising privacy choice before requesting an ad. You can reopen the available consent controls from the in-game Privacy Options control. Declining personalized advertising does not remove access to the game; it may change whether a non-personalized, limited, or no rewarded ad is available.

To confirm that a reward was earned and prevent duplicate claims, Google sends our server a signed verification callback. We store an ad transaction ID, ad-unit and network IDs, reward amount and type, timestamps, and opaque installation, impression, offer, and reward-choice identifiers. These records are used for reward delivery, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and audit integrity.

4. App Store Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments. We do not receive or store your full credit-card number, billing address, or Apple Account password.

The game and its backend may store product IDs, Apple transaction and original-transaction IDs, purchase dates, verification hashes, an opaque app-account token, entitlement status, delivery history, and in-game balance or spend records. We use these records to deliver purchases, restore permanent access, prevent duplicate fulfillment, process reversals, and maintain required financial and fraud-prevention records.

5. Service Providers

We use service providers only for game operation, cloud features, advertising, consent management, purchase processing, security, and support:

These providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their processing. We do not rent your name, email address, or support messages to advertisers.

6. Support Messages

If you email support, we receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, protect the game, and keep a reasonable support record. Do not send sensitive personal information in a support request.

7. Retention and Deletion

Local data remains until you reset the game, delete it, or remove the data through device controls. Online game and account records are retained for as long as needed to operate recovery, purchases, rewards, security, and support. Some purchase, transaction, fraud-prevention, and audit records may be retained where needed to protect players, resolve disputes, comply with law, or preserve financial integrity.

To request access to or deletion of online data, contact us using the address below and include your public Pocket Scavenger Player ID if available. We may need to verify that the request belongs to the account.

8. Children’s Privacy

Pocket Scavenger does not include public chat or user-generated content and does not ask children to submit a name or contact information. A child who cannot legally make privacy choices in their region should use online features and optional rewarded ads only with a parent or guardian.

9. Security

We use access controls, signed purchase and ad verification, hashed recovery identifiers, and other safeguards appropriate to the game. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the game or its service providers change. The current version and its update date will remain available on this page.
